About Us
Tim and Bonnie Twiss have run Milford Music together since 1994. Tim established the business six years prior. Their contrasting backgrounds make for diverse offerings at the store, but their similarities are most important.
Tim is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Classical Guitar. In 1979 he graduated from G.I.T. (Guitar Institute of Technology) in Los Angeles, Ca. (Now called M.I. - Musician's Institute). Tim began teaching in 1977. He has been playing professionally since high school and continues to this day, with diverse experience in studio sessions, pit orchestras, solo guitar performance, night club and wedding bands, and most recently church praise teams. He is a "jack of all trades" type musician, bringing vast real world experience into the teaching studio for a well rounded and practical approach to learning.
Bonnie's varied background includes classical training as a child in piano and cello as well with 4 years of high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy. This was followed by the Aspen Music School, the University of North Texas (Bachelor's degree with teaching certification in music and dance), MFA degree from T.C.U. in Modern Dance and postgraduate credit at University of N. Arizona - Flagstaff. The evolution into Avant Garde dance productions was a great synthesis of Bonnie's interests: music, dance-art therapy plus visual art and design. The results are a unique and individualized approach to fine arts training.

The front desk staff , comprised of manager Sue Gibson with Alex Squires and Rachel Armstrong, is available to handle all questions about scheduling lessons and obtaining proper service and products.
